I have to say I do enjoy the annual tradition of buying cards, signing them with a little message and sending them out via the old-fashioned post. Even with a rather lengthy list due to a large extended family overseas, I love taking the time to send a little message to let friends and family know I’m still thinking of them. I don’t get a chance to see them as often as I’d like.
The increasing rarity of people using the postal service is rendering it more expensive. Yet, I still enjoy the yearly ritual. There’s something about getting non-commercial mail in your mailbox.
The best part is receiving all the beautiful cards from around the world and hanging them up in the hallway.
Whichever holiday you celebrate, I wish you health and happiness for the season and the new year!
