As a strong believer in action to prevent climate change, I was pleased to receive the brief to design the poster for one of the organizations planning the People’s Climate March in Montreal. The main point to communicate was where to be and when to get there. I made a point of having the date within the main visual symbol. It also had to work in both English and French.
People were also encouraged to make donations to offset costs of organizing the march. The more people that could be encouraged to take part and show solidarity before the UN Climate Summit two days later, the better. Record numbers of people attended the march, which was coordinated with marches taking place around the world.
