The Orpheus Singers are a talented, professional singing group, who specialize in classical choral performances. For their 2016 Christmas concert, they chose a repertoire of English composers from the Renaissance Era, with a focus on William Byrd. Rather than going with the usual conservative style for the poster, we decided to use a visual pun of using a bird, sporting a ruff from the era, with a Renaissance painting textured background.

 

The poster was very well-received by the board and the group members. I was told by my client contact that the board and members were anxious to see what the poster design would be for their next concert.

 

We kept the playful style for their 2019 concert, which featured swing-style arrangements of Bach pieces.
